Problem Note 44231: Display of UTF-8 encoded data is not fully supported by the SAS® Display Manager system

When you start the SAS® 9.2 and 9.3 (Unicode Server) application, which is a SAS UTF-8 session, the following warning message appears in the log window:
This message is normal. It does not indicate an installation error.
The SAS windowing environment (the SAS Display Manager system) in Windows operating environments has limited support for Unicode. SAS recommends using SAS® Enterprise Guide® as an easy-to-use front end to the SAS Unicode Server. If you have specific needs for using a Unicode Server interactively, contact SAS Technical Support. A SAS Technical Support consultant can provide proper recommendations and explain what you can expect.
You will not see the warning message in Windows SAS® 9.4 (Unicode Support). This message still appears in a SAS 9.4 Unicode session on UNIX systems such as Linux.
